Energy from the Sun

Last year Hidden Hollow added a solar array which now provides both the orchard and LG&E with electricity from the Sun. Each panel can generate up to 305 Watts of power, and the array is expected to produce about 6,000 kWh of energy each year.

The array was installed by Solar Energy Solutions, LLC, who also installed 24 SunPower T10 modules on a roof of the visitor's center to the Capitol in Frankfort, Kentucky.

If less than 1% of agricultural land had solar panels, it would be enough to fulfill the ENTIRE GLOBAL electric energy demand ... and make a little cool shade for sheep and such.
